DMT is not really considered to be addictive in exactly the same way that substances like nicotine or opioids could be. It doesn't commonly produce physical dependence or withdrawal indications when somebody stops working with it.  They’re not authorized, because they comprise the psychedelic compound psilocybin, making them a category A drug.
